  • Singapore Broadband ISP Speeds Survey

To satisfy a personal curiosity about the varying performance of broadband ISPs across Singapore, and to try out a new feature of Google Docs Spreadsheets I just found out about, I’d like to invite all Singaporeans with residential broadband connections to fill in the survey below.

To reiterate the notes given below, please go to http://speedtest.net to measure your broadband performance, making sure to select “San Francisco, CA” as your test centre. I would greatly appreciate it if you could do this when your connection is not concurrently bogged down by other network activity such file downloads, media streaming, online gaming, etc. Feel free to take different measurements at different times of day and post additional results if you wish.

      Question:
your website mention “kB/s” does it mean kilo Byte/second or kilobit/second?
the speedtest result is in kb/s not kB/s.
If you want us to enter in kilobyte, then we need to divide the speedtest.net result by 8.
Could you please elaborate which one do you want?

      Regards,

      Hi Erwin,

If you wait for SpeedTest to give you the results page, your download and upload are displayed in kB/s and not kbps.
